Learning to drive with the Scottish Driving School assures you that you will receive the best driving tuition available. All intensive driving courses are conducted on a One2One tuition basis. This means that only you and your driving instructor will be in the car on your lessons. Some of the cheaper driving schools have up to another two students in the car with you, hence the reason the lessons are usually cheaper.

One2One tuition means that for every full hour lesson you get a full hour of coaching. Shared tuition means you only get approximately 20 minutes in every hour of lessons. Your driving lesson remains personal and exclusive to you when you learn to drive with the Scottish Driving School.

Perhaps you might need to practice a little more on gear changing, or understanding roundabouts. This is all possible, since you are receiving this private tuition & can therefore practice as much as you need. On shared lessons you would have to consider the needs of the group.

Scottish intensive driving courses One2One tuition are available all year round in Perth, Dundee or Blairgowrie. Some parts of rural Perthshire can be accomodated, but this is not always in the best interests of the learner driver, since a lot of time will be taken up going to the training area & back home again. To get the best from your driving lessons it is in your interest to reduce the travel time factor where possible.

I am aware of learner drivers who book two hour lessons with local driving instructors & spend one hour going to & from home. This will double the time it takes to learn to drive. In certain cases I know this is unavoidable though.

All Courses ideal for nervous students

All intensive driving courses are ideal for learner drivers who are nervous about driving a car. You will be greeted by myself (I do not employ trainee or contract driving instructors) at an agreed place & time. I will then drive you to a quiet area for your first driving lesson. Before you actually start to drive for the first time the car controls will be explained in detail with the aid of sketches where necessary.

Once we have gone through the theory of controlling the car for moving away from the kerb & stopping the car safely, you will get the opportunity to 'have a practice drive along the road'. Any questions you may have can be asked at anytime. From this first lesson you will build your driving skills up on each lesson & raise your confidence. By the end of your course of lessons you will become a very confident driver because you will have had the best possible personal 1-2-1 tuition & coaching available.
