Travel to Scotland
Be inspired & tavel to Scotland for an intensive driving course. Learning to drive in rural Scotland can be a more relaxing experience than learning to drive in a large city. The roads in general can have less traffic on them especially on your first few driving lessons when you really would like complete isolation, that is not always possible, but it's the next best thing.
You can easily travel to Scotland from most parts of the UK & overseas. People have travelled to Scotland to learn to drive on intensive driving courses from Australia, Canada, Spain, France, South America, India & USA.
[Please note UK residency rules apply]

Travel to Scotland - Perth
When you travel to Scotland you have a choice of intensive driving courses you can take & locations. Courses are run in Perth, Dundee or Blairgowrie.
Perth courses are run all the year round & are centred around the Perth driving test area for town driving practice & rural Perthshire roads for general practice.
Should you live local to Perth you can be met at your home. Students travelling to Perth daily for their course will be met at Perth train station (just opposte the bus station for those travelling by bus) the train station is easier for parking. Students who are on residential intensive driving courses will be met at their hotel.
Perth driving test centre is located just outside of the town centre in a residential area & is within easy reach of rural roads & the main A9 dual carriageway which is part of the possible test routes. The test Perth test centre is not purpose built & does not have its own car park, therefore there is no bay parking requirement for your driving test.

Travel to Scotland Dundee
When you travel to Scotland for your intensive driving course you can experience the beauty of Dundee called the 'City of Discovery' named after captain Scott of the Antartics ship which is moored in Discovery Point, which is also a visiters centre. Students who travel to Dundee daily for their driving lessons will be met at Dundee train station which is opposite this famous ship.
New learner drivers will be taken from 'Discovery Point' to some very quiet roads where they can concentrate on learning to drive. From their your driver training programme will take you through some extremly beautiful rural roads & along a beautiful stretch of road called Riverside drive, which runs next to the river Tay & Tay bridges. As you progress more with your driving course you will be confident enough to navigate through moderate Dundee traffic. On your intensive driving course in Dundee you will be able to have plenty of practice on all types of roads as there is a good selection in the Dundee area.
Dundee driving test centre is located on a quiet industrial estate just on the outskirts of Dundee. The driving test centre is purpose built & bay parking is a task you might be asked to carry out on your driving test.

Travel to Scotland - Blairgowrie
When you travel to Blairgowrie for your intensive driving course, you will have arrived at one of the most beuitiful places to learn to drive. Blairgowrie is a small town which can get quite crowded, especially when its the fruit picking season but the surrounding roads are very quiet, ideal for new learner drivers.
Unfortuantely the Blairgowrie driving test centre was closed during December 2009. The nearest test centres are now either Dundee or Perth, both are approximately 20 odd miles away. Blairgowrie though would be a great place to start you off on your driving career before spending your final lessons at either Perth or Dundee. On your course you will drive eventually to Perth & Dundee to see which one you prefer to take your driving test in.
To travel to blairgowrie you will need first of all to go to either Perth or Dundee train or bus stations & then catch a local bus to Blairgowrie. When you book into a Blairgowrie hotel for a weeks residential intensive driving course I can meet you at either Perth or Dundee & I will take you to your hotel.
